Will they shrink or lose stretch?

With the right care, shrinkage is minimal and the fit stays consistent. Bamboo-viscose blends can tighten slightly on the first wash; washing cold and air-drying keeps this to a barely noticeable level. High heat is what causes real change: repeated hot cycles or hot tumble-drying can lead to 3–5% shrinkage and accelerate loss of elastic recovery over time.

To protect stretch, avoid overloading the machine (friction = stress) and skip fabric softeners, which coat fibers and reduce rebound. If your pair feels snug straight from the line, a few minutes of wear will naturally relax the fabric back to its intended fit.

Do

  • Line dry or low-heat tumble, remove promptly

  • Use a laundry bag if washing with rough items

Don’t
